Question:

515 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a transport grant of only £370 is being paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the parents are paying £50 per week for his school transport; and if he will give a commitment to pay a grant of £800 towards the cost of transport for this person. [23901/01]

The issue raised by the Deputy is currently being examined in my Department. I expect that officials of my Department will shortly be in contact with the parents of the pupil in question in relation to this matter.
