523 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of full-time remedial teachers in primary schools employed by his Department. [23910/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 521 to 523 inclusive together.

A total of 1,485 remedial teacher posts have been allocated on a full-time basis to primary schools. A further 560 remedial teachers are deployed in the second level system. A total of 888 full-time resource teachers have been allocated to primary schools. The equivalent of a further 345 full-time posts have been allocated in part-time resource teacher support.
