Question:

170 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the amount of money which has been spent on protection against coas tal erosion in County Cork from June 1997 to date; and the way in which the money has been spent. [23998/01]

Details of coast protection projects and the expenditure incurred on each in County Cork from June 1997 to December 2000 are set out below. Cork County Council contributed 25% of the cost of these projects. Projects approved for 2001 are also listed below:
