Vol. 542 No. 3

Written Answers. - Shipping Services.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

62 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he has given specific direction to sea transport operators with a view to ensuring continuity of service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24574/01]

In the light of the changed economic circumstances, post 11 September, I am keeping the position of our ship operators under review. Meanwhile, I have given no instructions to Irish based ship operators regarding continuity of shipping services, in the aftermath of the recent attacks in the USA.
