183 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath for a certificate of naturalisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24715/01]

The application in question is now in the final stages of the process and I expect to be in a position to advise both the applicant and the Deputy of my decision in the very near future.
