Adjournment Debate Matters.

Acting Chairman:

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael D. Higgins – the need to end the bombing in Afghanistan to allow aid corridors to be established; (2) Deputy Rabbitte – the delay in bringing into operation the new Dublin West Education Centre in the grounds of Tallaght IT; (3) Deputy Dukes – the detailed provisions for the resumption of Irish beef exports to Egypt; (4) Deputy Fitzgerald – the crisis in Dublin's maternity hospitals; (5) Deputy Durkan – the subject matter and reply to Parliamentary Question No. 413 of 16 October 2001 to the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs; (6) Deputy Gerard Reynolds – the reason the Government has not responded to the Western Development Commission report entitled State of the West; and (7) Deputy Jim Mitchell – the delay in publishing the interdepartmental report on the future use of the Eastern Regional Health Authority lands at Grangegorman, Dublin 7, and when the report will be published.

The matters raised by Deputies Higgins, Reynolds, Fitzgerald and Durkan have been selected for discussion.
