Vol. 542 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

119 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will receive a slaughter premium payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24783/01]

As I indicated in previous replies to Parliamentary Questions No. 78 on 5 April 2001 and No. 157 on 23 May 2001, payment of slaughter premium was delayed because the person named had not furnished the documentary evidence requested from him to establish that the animals were in his herd for two months prior to slaughter. Documentation has now been obtained confirming the presence of the animals in the herd for at least two months prior to the slaughter date. Accordingly, payment will issue to the person named in mid-November.

Question No. 120 withdrawn.
