Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Upton – the need to provide additional protection for consumers who have refurbishment work done to their homes; (2) Deputy Healy – the need for increased manpower for Garda community policing schemes; (3) Deputy Neville – the report of the Inspector of Mental Hospitals; (4) Deputy Rabbitte – the delay in bringing into operation the new Dublin West Education Centre in the grounds of Tallaght IT; (5) Deputy Jim Mitchell – the delay in publishing the interdepartmental report on the future use of the Eastern Regional Health Authority lands at Grangegorman, Dublin 7 and when the report will be published; (6) Deputy Brian Hayes – funding for the Tallaght Travellers Youth Service literacy project; (7) Deputy Perry – the need to install hand dryers in Ransboro national school, County Sligo; (8) Deputies McGrath and Penrose – the difficulties experienced by leaders in the Kinnegad, County Westmeath, Centre for Independent Living where personal assistants are about to be withdrawn and the need to put in place mainstream funding for these services; (9) Deputy Coveney – the announced resignation of the legal officer of the Criminal Assets Bureau; and (10) Deputy Deenihan – the need to admit a person (details supplied) to Cork University Hospital.

The matters raised by Deputies Rabbitte, Neville, Jim Mitchell and Upton have been selected for discussion.
