225 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when payment under the farm retirement pension scheme will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25146/01]
The person named submitted applications for the early retirement scheme on 11 July 2001 and 30 August 2001. Both of these applications were invalid as not all of the necessary supporting documentation was submitted. The person named was notified of the most recent decision on 13 September 2001 and, to date, a further application has not been received. Under the scheme, the earliest date from which payment of a pension can commence is the date of receipt of a valid application.
