Vol. 542 No. 5

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

427 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the proposals he has to publish a tourist guide for those with disabilities; if he will make funding available for this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25264/01]

My Department has no responsibilities in relation to the publication of tourism promotional literature, including guides. However, I am aware that Bord Fáilte is currently reviewing, with the industry, availability of information on the accessibility of individual premises and facilities as part of a scoping exercise on how such information can be most effectively conveyed in future to people with disabilities.
