Question:

138 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will direct the South-Western Area Health Board to reply to Deputy Gay Mitchell within one week confirming that a services health hazard created by an ongoing problem with rats, which is threatening the health of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 will be comprehensively dealt with without further delay. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for pest control in the Dublin 12 area rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly within one week.
