Question:

77 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals he has for the provision of a chronic pain relief service for the south east region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27284/01]

The South-Eastern Health Board has received a proposal in relation to the provision of a chronic pain relief service in the south east region and this proposal is currently under consideration by the board. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to write directly to the Deputy outlining the present position in this regard.
