Question:214 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 162 of 22 May 2001 and 171 of 29 May 2001, his attention has been drawn to the fact that the practice of spreading animal blood on lands at Kilnock, Ballon, County Carlow, has not stopped and continued on a number of dates (details supplied); if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) had to leave their home due to the discomfort and sickness caused by the practice; if his Department is implementing EU regulations regarding this matter; the steps which have been taken since the complaint was made; if action has been taken against a company (details supplied) under EU regulations on the disposal, processing and placing on the market of animal by-products; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
