195 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if the investigation into the claims by a person (details supplied) in County Meath regarding an inspector in his Department is completed; if so, the outcome of the investigation; if the allegations that this matter is related to an investigation into the ownership of a property (details supplied) in Dublin 1 by the special investigation unit, revenue and garda section, are true; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The allegations made against a staff member by and on behalf of the person referred to in the Deputy's question are still being examined by senior management in my Department. It is expected that this examination will be completed shortly.

The special investigation unit of my Department has not in the past and is not currently investigating the ownership of the property concerned.
