Vol. 544 No. 1

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Seán Ryan

Question:

181 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is no speech and language therapist working in the Swords health centre; the number of children awaiting this service; and his plans to improve this service. [28217/01]

The provision of speech and language therapy services in the Swords area is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. In the circumstances I have asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and to communicate directly with him.
