Vol. 544 No. 3

Written Answers. - Telecommunications Services.

Richard Bruton

Question:

209 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the nine projects selected under the first call for projects to extend broadband to less developed parts of the country; the area being serviced by each project; the expected revenue to be generated on the network; the value of public funds allocated; the cost of the project; the identity of the successful tenderer; and the classification of the project under the three programme lines specified. [28831/01]

Details of project contracts under Communications Measure National Development Plan 2000-2006, First Call for Proposals, are in the following table. Revenues to be generated are not available and the classification across programme lines did not apply to the existing nine projects. Further details are available at www.ndpcomms.gov.ie
