Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

240 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a suckler grant payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28846/01]

Payment of the 2001 suckler cow premium entitlement to the person named has not issued because according to our records his herd profile is not reconciled on the cattle movement monitoring system. The person named contacted the local livestock office of my Department on 6 November 2001. He was advised to check if he had received his herd profile, which issued in December 2000, listing details held on the cattle movement monitoring system – CMMS – of all animals in his herd. In the meantime my Department has requested the Farm to Farm Cattle Movement Notification Agency to forward a copy of his herd profile to him for the purpose of reconciliation. As soon as the details are reconciled on the CMMS database his application under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme will be processed for payment.
