John McGuinness

Question:

John McGuinness

Question:

320 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an occupational therapist's report is available in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow. [28812/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 306 and 320 together.

As I have previously informed the Deputy, the administration of the disabled persons grant is entirely a matter for the Department of the Environment and Local Government and the local authorities. The use of occupational therapy staff from the health boards to carry out assessments is entirely a matter for discussion between the health boards and the local authorities. Copies of the Deputy's questions have been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matters and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
