Vol. 544 No. 5

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Paul Bradford

Question:

169 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will respond to the request for the provision of a gymnasium and multi-purpose assembly room at the Patrician Academy, Mallow, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29366/01]

An application by the authorities of the Patrician Academy, Mallow, for grant aid to develop facilities at the school is being examined in the planning section of my Department at present. As part of this process, all relevant factors, including enrolment and demographic trends in the area, will be taken into consideration.

A decision on the matter will be notified to the school authorities as soon as possible.
