Vol. 545 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ministerial Appointments.

Jack Wall

Question:

182 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Finance his views on whether there was a conflict of interests when a person (details supplied) was advising the Minister. [30005/01]

I am satisfied the person concerned acted fully in accordance with his responsibilities in relation to me as Minister for Finance and the institution on whose board he serves. It is the practice of most member states of the EU to nominate to the board of the institution concerned persons who are senior officials in their Finance Ministries.
