Vol. 545 No. 3

Written Answers. - Motor Taxation.

John Perry

Question:

131 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the difficulties that a person (details supplied) encountered with his motor tricycle vehicle; his plans to amend the existing motor vehicle taxation classification to allow the introduction of a motor tricycle class; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30292/01]

Under motor tax legislation, there is a specific class of vehicle covering tricycles. I understand that the particular vehicle imported earlier this year by the company in question has now been taxed and insured.
