30 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of young farmers who have received installation aid in each of the past seven years; the number who have been paid to date in 2001; the number he anticipates will be eligible for the scheme in 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following is the information in relation to the number of young farmers who received installation aid from 1994 to date:

403	746	1,167	1,251	628	567	467	322

I expect that of the order of 1,000 young farmers will qualify for the payment of aid in 2002.
