43 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if all BSE positive animals for 2000 and 2001 can be traced to their country of birth through the CCMS; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30165/01]

The country of birth of all BSE positive animals for 2000 and 2001 can be traced either through the CMMS or, in the case of older animals imported prior to the establishment of the central database, the documentation – identity card – accompanying the animal.
