Question:393 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if the second trip to a school (details supplied) which was sanctioned by him is in operation; and, if not, the reason for the delay in implementing same. [30524/01]

The position is that an exclusive service was sanctioned by my Department to facilitate pupils attending the primary school concerned. This arrangement was sanctioned as the second bus run had been arriving late at the school in the mornings.
Bus Éireann advises that the new service has been put in place and is operating satisfactorily.
