118 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the different working groups, review groups, expert groups, commissions, interdepartmental working groups and various fora established by him since entering office in 1997. [30443/01]

The different working groups, review groups, expert groups, commissions, interdepartmental working groups and various fora established by my Department since entering office in 1997 are as follows:

1. Interdepartmental Administrative Presidency Planning Group – October 2001

2. Interdepartmental Committee for Co-ordinating the Presidency – October 2001

3. Interdepartmental Group developing Ireland's negotiating positions for Intergovernmental Conference – February 2000

4. Interdepartmental Group – Future of Europe – November 2001
5. Agency for Personal Service Overseas – Working groups on the following issues in 2001 – Child labour, Irish Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Capacity Building, HIV/AIDS
6. Agency for Personal Service Overseas – Working groups on the following issues in 2000 – Trade related capacity Development, Fostering Local Ownership of Aid
7. Agency for Personal Service Overseas – Working group on Environmental Best Practice in Development Programmes in 1999
8. Agency for Personal Service Overseas – Working groups on the following issues 1998 – Capacity Building in the Irish Bilateral Aid Programme, HIV/AIDS: A Development Issue, Sector Wide approaches and Poverty Reduction
9. Agency for Personal Services Overseas – Review Mandate of APSO – June 2000
10. Agency for Personal Service Overseas – Working groups on the following issues 1997 – Scoping Study on Environmental Issues, Public Attitudes and Awareness of Aid and Development Issues
11. Refugee Agency – Interdepartmental Committee, established in 1999 to co-ordinate arrangements for reception, accommodation and programme for Kosovar refugees
12. Ireland Aid Review Committee established by Government decision on 13 December 2000, is examining and assessing the future role and management of the Ireland Aid programme further to the Government's commitment to meet UN overseas development assistance target of 0.7% of GNP by year 2007
13. Interdepartmental Committee was established to develop Battle of the Boyne site
14. Interdepartmental Steering Committee established in March 1999 to provide input into the development, thrust and conclusions of the Cassidy review report on the management requirements of the Ireland Aid programme
In addition to the above, a proposal regarding the establishment of a task force on policy regarding emigrants was recently approved by Government and the administrative preparations are currently being finalised.
