80 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason financial assistance has not been provided for the health boards to allow them meet the costs arising from the changeover to the euro; if, in view of the implications for health board budgets, he will now consider providing the required funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To date the health boards-authority have received £0.8 million or 1.016 million in respect of financial function costs arising from the euro changeover. The Department will, within available resources, also honour reasonable costs incurred by boards as a result of information technology conversions.
