166 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science at what stage is the proposed new school for Cahergal, Tuam, County Galway is at; if a decision has been made to go ahead with the building; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32115/01]

An application has been received for capital funding in respect of a proposed project at Cahergal national school, Tuam, County Galway. Decisions on the appointment of design teams in respect of individual projects will be taken in the light of the recent allocation for primary school buildings in last week's budget and my Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.
