63 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the response which has been received from the President of the European Commission following the petition from An Taisce and others to have a PSO refused for the production of electricity through the use of increasing scarce Irish peatlands. As indicated in my reply to the Deputy's previous identical Question No. 87 of 17 October 2001, my knowledge of the petition referred to is gleaned from the mass media and I have had no communication from the European Commission regarding it.
