213 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Phase I of the development of the lakeside amenity at Spencer Harbour, Drumkeerin, County Leitrim, is nearing completion; the proposals Dúchas has for Phase II of the development; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised by the Deputy is solely a matter for Waterways Ireland, a North-South implementation body for inland waterways, set up under the British-Irish Agreement of March 1999. However, I understand from Waterways Ireland the provision of a service block at the location in question is a matter for the local authority and that it is not its intention to provide a slipway.
