35 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda Síochána is carrying out an investigation into allegations of insider trading involving a publicly traded company; if a file has been sent to the DPP; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32084/01]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda bureau of fraud investigation is conducting an investigation into the allegations in question. The investigation is currently at a preliminary stage.
