Vol. 546 No. 5

Written Answers. - National Plan for Women.

Jan O'Sullivan

Question:

59 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position of the consultation process on the draft national plan for women 2001-2005; when it is expected that the final plan will be concluded and approved by Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32108/01]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 340 of 11 December 2001 in which I gave details of the consultation process on the draft national plan for women. The deadline for receipt of comments submissions has been extended to 15 February 2002. The consultation process will culminate in a number of public fora spread throughout the country in Spring 2002. It is hoped to conclude and to submit the draft final plan to Government for approval and publication as soon as possible thereafter.
