251 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Defence the progress regarding an Army deafness claim by a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if payment of the claim will be made on the person's medical history already submitted. [2331/02]

An offer under the early settlement scheme was made in this case and was rejected. The loss adjuster has been instructed to reopen negotiations.
