Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Bradford

Question:

317 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will review the decision to disallow a ewe premium grant for a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [1966/02]

The person named applied on 31 ewes under the 2001 ewe premium scheme and sold five ewes during the retention period. As his quota was 29 he had a shortfall of three ewes for payment purposes. Arrangements have now been made to pay premium on the 26 ewes retained in the flock throughout the retention period subject to a shortfall penalty in respect of the ewes which were disposed of.
