Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

Michael Ring

Question:

619 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will instruct the Western Health Board to provide income details, including a breakdown of the assessment calculations, in the refusal of a medical card to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the reason for the refusal decision. [2121/02]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this particular case rests with the Western Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to review this case and in particular the points raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
