662 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason payments to staff in the Eastern Regional Health Authority area who are residential child care workers have not been subject to agreed increases. [2461/02]
My Department requested on 27 September 2001 that these new pay scales for residential and community child care personnel be put in place by all health boards. Responsibility for the payment of the increase rests with the health boards. My Department has therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the ERHA to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly as soon as possible.
