Vol. 547 No. 2

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Richard Bruton

Question:

51 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science when his Department officials will agree to meet with representatives of the board of management and parents association of Newtown girls' school, Abbeyknockmoy, County Galway; and when this meeting will take place. [2838/02]

Architectural planning is currently underway in respect of a proposed extension at Newtown girls' national school, Abbeyknockmoy, County Galway. This project will continue to the preparation of tender documents and the invitation of tenders, as soon as it is possible to do so, under the expanded building programme.

I have arranged for an official from my Department to contact the school authorities to set up a meeting regarding this project.
