208 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received representations from the Galway Travellers' support group; the nature of the representations; the nature of his reply to same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3209/02]
The representations which were made by the Deputy on behalf of the Galway Travellers' support group referred to the implementation of the national Traveller health strategy.
The strategy was approved by the Government in December 2001. It is expected that the strategy will be published and launched later this month. Upon publication, the strategy will be circulated to health boards who will be asked to draw up plans for the phased implementation of the strategy over the years 2002 to 2005.
