110 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if there is a two and a half year waiting list for tonsillectomies for out-patients in Beaumont Hospital; if so, the reasons therefor; and when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 is likely to be called for treatment in this regard. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the funding of services at Beaumont Hospital rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to her directly.
