Question:113 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will advance the application for a new fire station (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [3980/02]
Written Answers. - Fire Stations.
An application submitted by Kilkenny County Council on 12 December 2001 for approval in principle for a new fire station at Castlecomer is currently under examination in my Department. A decision will issue to the council as soon as possible.
Under the fire stations capital programme for 2001, I approved proposals from Kilkenny County Council for new fire stations at Callan and Freshford to be progressed as far as tender stage.
