308 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the total allocation to Donegal County Council and the local authorities in Donegal for water and sanitary services in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001; and the projection for 2002. [4544/02]
Expenditure on major water and sewerage schemes included in the water services investment programme is recouped to local authorities by my Department on foot of eligible payment claims submitted by authorities in respect of individual pro jects. Annual block grant allocations are made by the Department to county councils in respect of the devolved rural water programme. Expenditure incurred by the Department on that basis in respect water and sewerage schemes in Donegal is set out in the following table.
