330 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if an appointment has been made to the sub-office of his Department at Castlepollard, County Westmeath; if so, when the sub-office will be re-opened; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4306/02]

The position of branch manager for the branch office at Castlepollard was advertised in the local press. A number of candidates applied and were subsequently called for interview. The results are being processed and an appointment, subject to the usual clearances, will be made shortly.
