125 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Defence if he will sanction the sale of a small portion of land at Sarsfield Barracks, Limerick to the board of management of the Model School to facilitate the building of a gymnasium; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5011/02]
Agreement has been reached for the sale of 3.4 acres at the barracks' former married quarters to Limerick Corporation. All remaining lands within the confines of the barracks together with the barracks' playing pitches continue to be required by the military authorities. It is, therefore, not possible to make part of the barrack property available to the board of management of the Model School.
