Responsibility for the provision of health services in Dublin rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

161 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10 has not received a reply arising from the processing of a Parliamentary Question dated 20 November 2001 and the reply of 30 November 2001. [4931/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My response of 27 November 2001, to the Deputy on this matter advised that the regional chief executive of the authority had been asked to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly. The authority responded to the Deputy by a letter dated 12 December 2001. I have arranged for a copy of the response to be forwarded to the Deputy under separate cover.
