Question:

95 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the total costs to date arising out of the tribunal of inquiry into the beef industry; the percentage of total costs which have been paid to date as a result of orders made by the Taxing Master for professional fees of counsel and solicitors representing clients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4118/02]

To date the total amount paid out for the beef tribunal is €25,415,492.93. Legal fees cost €20,375,617.62 and represents 80.17% of the total amount.
