Vol. 548 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

153 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether it is reasonable for a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan to have to wait two and a half years for an ENT appointment at Monaghan General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5144/02]

Responsibility for the provision of services at Monaghan General Hospital rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
