233 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if the youth affairs section of his Department has received an application for funding from the Adventure Sports Project, Dublin 1 to employ a youth worker; if he will allocate funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A request for funding under the scheme for special projects to assist disadvantaged young people, for the project referred to by the Deputy, has been received by my Department. The adventure sports project received funding of €94,949 under this scheme in 2001.

This application for additional funding will be considered, together with the other applications received, in the context of the funding available for the scheme in 2001.
