330 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his Department's policy regarding the use of landfill to meet waste management requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5593/02]

The role of landfill in future waste disposal in Ireland is fully addressed in the October 1998 policy statement on waste management, "Changing Our Ways", a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
