Question:405 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education and Science when funding will be provided for a pre-school assistant for a school (details supplied) in County Limerick. [5814/02]
Written Answers. - School Staffing.
In June of last year my Department approved a range of additional supports for the school in question. These included the allocation of two additional resource teacher posts, one learning support teacher post and three special needs assistant posts.
The school has since made application for a further special needs assistant post. This application is currently being considered. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities in relation to this matter as soon as possible.
