172 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science if approval will be made for a special needs teacher for Scoil Mhic Easmainn, Mona Valley, Tralee, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6176/02]

An application for resource teaching support for the school in question is currently being considered by my Department's inspectorate. As soon as the inspectorate has reported, my officials will be in contact with the school authorities in the matter.
