Vol. 549 No. 3

Written Answers. - Farm Retirement Scheme.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

160 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if an application for the EU farm retirement pension scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Galway is in order and is being processed; when payment will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6776/02]

The application for the person named was resubmitted on 13 February 2002, having previously been returned to her because there were deficiencies in it. It is now being processed and the person named will be notified of the outcome when processing is complete. The protocol on direct payments to farmers sets a target of 12 weeks for the processing of a valid application to the stage of scheduling for payment if the case is selected for pre-payment inspection, and ten weeks if it is not selected.

Question No. 161 answered with Question No. 143.
